WHERE CARAMELLO & SALATO COMES FROM
Francesca and Roberto are two adventurous souls who in 2017 decided to change their lives, embarking together on a new adventure.
They set their sights on an old, abandoned 1970s house and immediately imagined the chance to open a small pastry shop there, an unusual place but full of potential.
They devoted time and energy to the renovation, which took dedication until March 2019, when the long-awaited opening day finally arrived. From that moment on, many things happened, but not even a global pandemic stopped their passion. They kept creating sweets and chocolates of outstanding quality, delivering their products straight to customers’ homes.
In 2021 came the chance to give a second life to the outdoor park of their pastry shop too.
With shy determination, Francesca and Roberto began creating a small venue for parties and get-togethers, an enchanted oasis in the greenery. The project took shape in 2022 with the purchase of their first food truck, affectionately called “Gino” (oh yes, Francesca gives a name to everything!).
At last they could bring their cooking straight into the garden, close to the guests who flocked to that well-kept, welcoming place.
But the surprises didn’t end there: in 2023, with the arrival of “Aldo”, a new truck set up as a street bar, and “Pina”
their Ape-car ready to delight evenings with cocktails of every kind, the summer season looked simply incredible.
Francesca and Roberto showed determination and passion in making their dream come true, turning an old house into a place of joy, sweet temptations, and moments of togetherness. Their commitment and creativity are ready to enchant everyone who joins them in this extraordinary open-air culinary adventure.
